A Contemporary Palace in Lisbon

Architecture and Interior Design | Residential | Lisbon - Portugal

Set in a 19th-century palace in Lisbon, previously restored with a minimalist contemporary architectural approach, this residence was transformed through an interior architecture and decoration project by Cristina Jorge de Carvalho’s atelier.

Designed by Cristina Jorge de Carvalho’s atelier, the interior architecture and decoration project respects the original structure, blending classical elements with a modern language in a harmonious dialogue between past and present.

The colour chosen for the front door plays a central role in the concept, reappearing throughout the house in subtle architectural and decorative details, creating a cohesive and refined visual identity.

The furniture includes several exclusive pieces designed by Cristina Jorge de Carvalho herself, part of her Furniture Design Collection — a clear expression of the atelier’s vision, where exclusivity, elegance, and attention to detail come together in every project.

With a bespoke and context-sensitive approach, the atelier develops interior architecture and decoration projects across Lisbon, Comporta, Cascais, Estoril, Sintra, the Algarve, and throughout Portugal — from private residences to hotels, offices, retail spaces, and spas.
