However, instead of simply replicating the past, the design integrated classical elements with contemporary details, effortlessly harmonizing tradition with innovation. Traditional Portuguese materials such as hydraulic mosaics, hand-glazed tiles, local marbles, and wooden pavements were prominently featured, reinterpreted in a modern context that imbued the space with a unique identity, perfectly suited for a classic Lisbon apartment.
Under the visionary guidance of interior designer Cristina Jorge de Carvalho, the project achieved a delicate equilibrium between honouring history and embracing modernity. The result is an interior that radiates charm, character, and a profound connection to its culturally rich surroundings.
